The lighter the wind, the further upwind in the decoy spread is where the hide should be. On calm days, it seems that the birds want the upwind side of the rig to outcompete the main feeding flock. - Bob Farrell |
With snowgeese, it is important to take the shot as it is given. Large flocks can be difficult to finish, so if a small flock offers a beautiful, feet down opportunity, I would take it, rather than waiting for the large flock possibly finish. - Bob Farrell |
