Nothing sounds deadlier in my hands than a Hedge traffic. Hedge has a great sound , but a propensity for cracking. No big deal if it does, but I've found that rubbing your hedge call with steel wool, then hand rubbing in Lemon oil keeps your wood in much better condition, and less likely to crack. - Jack Stephan
